2. Purposes of processing
The contact form asks for your name, message, and at least one way to reach you: an email address or phone number. Company name is optional. These details help us understand who is asking about which product or subject and respond to the request. You can browse without providing contact details; we need a way to reach you to answer an enquiry.
Website delivery and security: connection information is processed to deliver pages, operate the site, prevent attacks and abuse, and resolve technical faults. Information handled during access can differ from what is kept in logs.
The analytics preference covers Google Analytics 4 measurement of pages and products viewed, use of product lists, and page loading or interaction performance. Usage data includes page addresses, product or list identifiers, selected language, the number of search results and performance measurements. Analytics cookies used with permission help relate visits and sessions.
Meta Pixel and Google Ads measure which website interactions follow an interaction with an advertisement. This attribution can involve page and product interactions, ad-click information, browser information and advertising identifiers.
Server-side advertising measurement: when you have allowed marketing, the address of the page you view, the identifier, name and category of a product you open, and your click on a phone or email link are sent to Meta through our server function to measure the results of Meta advertising (Meta Conversions API). The IP address and browser information that reach the server and the values of Meta’s _fbp and _fbc cookies in your browser are sent with them; query strings and fragments are removed from the page address. If you have not allowed marketing, these events are not sent. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and messages from the contact form are not sent this way.
Preference management: Your analytics and marketing choices, their timestamp and the notice version are stored in your browser to apply your choices on later visits without asking on every page.
3. Data sharing
Only company staff authorised to answer your enquiry may access correspondence. The company uses Google Workspace for email; Selion is hosted by Google Cloud / Firebase Hosting. Depending on the contract, Google LLC or Google Ireland Limited may be the recipient for Google services.
Google Analytics and Google Ads data is received by Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited; Meta Pixel data by Meta Platforms, Inc. / Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Google Tag Manager controls when tags run.
For server-side advertising measurement, events first reach our server function running on Google Cloud (Firebase Cloud Functions) and are then sent to Meta Platforms, Inc. / Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.
Personal data may be disclosed to competent public authorities and courts only to the extent required by law or in response to a valid request. Disclosure is limited to the relevant purpose and legal obligation.
When the embedded Google Maps map on the Contact page becomes visible, your browser connects to Google services. Technical information such as your IP address and browser information may reach Google; form fields are not added to the map URL. The map connection is independent of analytics and marketing choices.
The introductory video on the About page is embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Your browser does not connect to YouTube unless you press play. When you do, the video loads from Google’s servers; your IP address and browser information reach Google, and Google cookies are used on the player’s google.com connection. Google states that viewing in this mode is not used to personalise your YouTube experience or the advertising shown to you. This connection is independent of analytics and marketing choices; the Cookie Policy names the cookies.
4. Collection methods and legal bases
Data is collected electronically through automated browser activity and the correspondence you choose to send us.
The form prepares a message locally in your browser for you to copy. It does not automatically send the fields to a server or the company mailbox. You can copy the message and use a separate link to open your email application. When you send the email yourself, your sender address, message and any information you include reach the email address info@selsil.com. The company uses Google Workspace for email.
Contacting us is separate from advertising consent; you may contact us without accepting analytics or marketing. Requests for a quotation or steps towards a contract rely on KVKK Article 5(2)(c) and, where applicable, GDPR Article 6(1)(b), only where processing is necessary for a contract with you or steps taken at your request. Enquiries from business representatives are assessed under the legitimate-interest ground below where those contract conditions do not apply. Other product and contact enquiries rely on our legitimate interest in responding, under KVKK Article 5(2)(f) and, where applicable, GDPR Article 6(1)(f). Retaining correspondence to follow up the enquiry and record the response relies on that legitimate interest; records needed to establish or defend a right are assessed under KVKK Article 5(2)(e) and the applicable GDPR ground. Correspondence does not itself authorise advertising emails or SMS.
Connection information reaches the hosting infrastructure so that pages can be delivered to your browser. Information processed during a connection is not necessarily the same as information retained in logs.
Operating a secure website, preventing attacks and resolving technical faults rely on legitimate interests under KVKK Article 5(2)(f) and, where GDPR applies, Article 6(1)(f). Where legislation requires particular records, KVKK Articles 5(2)(a) and 5(2)(ç), and where applicable GDPR Article 6(1)(c), are assessed for that obligation.
Optional analytics and marketing rely on consent under KVKK Article 5(1) and, where applicable, GDPR Article 6(1)(a). Accepting marketing cookies does not itself authorise advertising emails or SMS. The necessary record used to remember and apply your choice protects your choices and rights, under KVKK Articles 5(2)(e) and 5(2)(f), and where GDPR applies Article 6(1)(f). Section 11 explains what happens without your permission.
Server-side advertising measurement also relies on your marketing consent; although it uses no cookie of its own, no event is sent without the marketing choice.
The site’s measurement events do not include names, email addresses, phone numbers or messages entered in the contact form, or raw text typed in the search box. Query strings and fragments are removed from page addresses used for measurement.
5. Your rights and application channels
Under KVKK Article 11, you can ask whether your data is processed and, if it is, about its purpose, use in line with that purpose and recipients. You can request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data and erasure or destruction when the statutory conditions are met, including notification of these actions to recipients. You can object to an adverse outcome resulting solely from automated analysis and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
Valid KVKK applications are answered as soon as the nature of the request permits and within 30 days. If your application is rejected, the response is insufficient or no response arrives in time, you can complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board subject to the statutory application procedure and deadlines.
For questions about your personal data, send an email to kvkk@selsil.com.tr. A formal KVKK application can be made through one of the channels below. Identify yourself, provide a contact address and explain your request; signature, identity and verification details depend on the application method and the applicable communiqué. The email address info@selsil.com is the general contact inbox, not a KVKK application channel.
- Signed written application, in person or through a notary
- Maslak Mahallesi Sanatkarlar Sokak (Eclipse) No:2E İç Kapı No:6, 34475 Sarıyer / İstanbul, Türkiye
- Registered electronic delivery (KEP)

6. Retention periods
Browser cookie lifetimes differ from retention of correspondence, security logs or measurement data held by providers. The Cookie Policy explains browser cookie and preference-record lifetimes.
Contact enquiries are kept until your request is resolved and for up to 24 months afterwards. Selion’s interim form does not submit a server record; this period applies to enquiry correspondence you send to the company mailbox yourself. Correspondence forming a contract, statutory or dispute record is assessed separately for the period required by its purpose and applicable law.
Hosting and server logs are kept for 30 days, Google Cloud’s default setting. Google Analytics keeps user-level and event-level data for 14 months; Google Ads and Meta records follow those providers’ retention policies.
8. International transfers and safeguards
Google and Meta analytics and advertising services may process data outside Türkiye, including in the United States. For Google Workspace, Firebase Hosting and Google Maps, the processing location depends on the account and region settings. Data categories, purpose, recipient and access from abroad are considered separately for each service.
International transfers are carried out in line with the conditions in KVKK Article 9 and, where applicable, the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR. Cookie consent is not separate permission for international transfers.
9. Additional GDPR rights and information
Where the processing falls within GDPR, you may request restriction as well as access, rectification and erasure. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation, and to direct marketing at any time. Where the conditions apply to automated processing based on consent or contract, you may receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format or request its transmission to another controller.
You may withdraw consent and complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you habitually reside, work or believe an infringement occurred. GDPR requests normally receive a response within one month. If complexity or the number of requests requires an extension, its reasons are communicated within the first month.
10. Profiling and automated decisions
Selion does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning an individual. The site also does not build advertising audiences, run remarketing or personalise ads; advertising data is used only to measure advertising results. The Consent Statement explains the scope of that measurement.
11. What happens without your permission
Before you make a choice, and when you reject analytics and marketing, measurement tags are not loaded at all; no measurement request is sent to Google or Meta. If you allow only one category, only that category’s tags run.
If you later withdraw permission, the page reloads and the relevant tags stop running. The map on the Contact page and the video on the About page do not depend on these choices; section 3 explains both.
12. Scope and updates to this notice
This notice explains data processing on the Selion website. It provides information; it does not record your consent to processing or advertising.
This notice is updated when collection methods, purposes, recipients or retention practices change. Before your data is used for a new purpose, the necessary information is provided and a separate choice is obtained where processing relies on consent. An update to this notice is not itself consent. Last text revision: 8 October 2026.
