1. Data controller and scope

This policy summarises how information is used when you visit the site, browse products and contact us. The links below lead to the detailed explanation for each subject. Reading this policy or using the site does not give consent.

Selion is provided by SEL DIŞ TİCARET VE KİMYA SANAYİ A.Ş. The Privacy Notice lists the company’s address, MERSİS number and registered electronic delivery address (KEP).

2. Information processed and collection methods

We may process information you share when contacting us, technical information your browser transmits when accessing the site, and usage data from measurement activities you allow. The Privacy Notice explains these categories and collection methods.

The site’s measurement events do not include contact form names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages or raw search text. Third-party tags used on the site are configured to respect the same limits.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

Information is processed to answer enquiries, deliver and protect the site and, depending on your choice, measure site use and advertising results. Optional analytics and marketing rely on consent. The Privacy Notice sets out the applicable grounds for correspondence, technical records and preference storage by activity.

4. Handling contact requests

The contact form prepares a message you can copy in your browser. Completing it does not send the message to our company. You can copy it, open your email app through a separate link and send it yourself to the email address info@selsil.com.

Sending the email delivers your sender address, message and included information to the company’s Google Workspace email service. The linked sections explain the purpose, legal ground and retention of correspondence.

5. Analytics, advertising and cookie choices

Google Analytics measures site use; Meta Pixel and Google Ads measure the results of ad interactions. Analytics and marketing are separate options, off by default.

You can change your choice through Cookie preferences at the bottom of the page. When you reject, measurement tags are not loaded; no measurement data is sent to Google or Meta.

When you have allowed marketing, server-side advertising measurement sends page and product views and clicks on phone or email links to Meta through our server. If you do not allow marketing, these events are not sent. Section 2 of the Privacy Notice provides the details.

6. Service providers and data sharing

Hosting, email and measurement use different service providers. The information sent depends on the purpose and configuration of the service. The Privacy Notice explains recipients, their roles and international transfer safeguards.

An external link takes you to another provider’s site, where that service’s privacy information applies. A measurement tag running within our site can send data without you leaving the page; that use falls within our own notices and preference management.

The Google Maps map on the Contact page opens a direct browser connection to Google when it becomes visible. That connection is separate from the cookie panel’s analytics and marketing measurement permissions. The Privacy Notice addresses the map data flow separately.

The video on the About page is embedded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and opens a connection from your browser to Google only when you press play. This connection is also independent of the cookie panel permissions and is addressed separately in the Privacy Notice.

7. Retention and deletion

A cookie’s browser lifetime differs from the retention of correspondence or measurement records held by a provider. Deleting a cookie or withdrawing permission does not itself erase previously transmitted data.

The Privacy Notice explains retention periods and deletion criteria by purpose; the Cookie Policy explains cookie and preference-record lifetimes. You can request erasure through the rights-request channels.

8. Data security

The company’s data-security policy covers access authorisation by business unit, regular permission reviews, staff training and confidentiality duties, data-protection clauses in provider contracts, security checks, backups and incident response.

Excluding contact details from measurement events is one of the site’s data limits. Security measures do not guarantee that all risks are eliminated. Applicable notification duties will be followed if a personal data breach occurs.

9. Your rights and how to contact us

Email kvkk@selsil.com.tr to ask about your data, request correction or seek deletion where the conditions apply. The Privacy Notice explains rights, the registered postal and electronic delivery addresses, formal procedures, response periods and complaints. To withdraw cookie consent, use Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page.

10. Policy updates

We update the relevant notices when collection methods, providers or purposes change. Information and consent required for a new purpose are provided or obtained before that processing starts. Updating a policy does not mean you have authorised a new purpose.
